Our Mission....to Serve  

The mission of Oasis of Hope Dollars for Scholars is to promote educational excellence through activities and programs that prepare and encourage individuals and families to pursue post-secondary education to enhance the quality of their lives and to strengthen the communities in which we live.

Oasis of Hope Dollars for Scholars has been a trailblazer in providing scholarships for underserved students, living in underserved neighborhoods in Indianapolis. The Oasis of Hope Dollars for Scholars was established in 2006, and has:

• Awarded over $80,000 in scholarships
• Received $5000 Grant for Special Programs
• Recognized as the "Best New Chapter" for 2006-2007
• Received the "Most Innovative Chapter Award" in 2007 and 2009
• Shirley Alexander, Emeritus Board Member, was named  "Indiana Volunteer of Year Award" in 2011
• Received the "2012 Regional Chapter of the Year"
• Received a $10,000 Matching Grant in 2013 from Indiana Dollars for Scholars for Renewable Scholarships
